
Harper Adams sponsors dairy industry trade award

The winner of a dairy industry trade award sponsored by Harper Adams University has been announced as Ruth Lawson.
Ruth, who works for W.E Jameson & Son Ltd, was presented with the prize at the 2013 Cream Awards at the National Motorcycle Museum near Birmingham.
Harper Adams sponsored the Knowledge Transfer Award; Dairy Nutritionist of the Year category, with around 450 guests in attendance at the event.
The 30 Awards were presented by BBC Countryfile’s Adam Henson, with Dr Gordie Jones from Central Sands Dairy, Wisconsin, giving an inspiring talk about health and welfare on US farms.
Aside from Ruth, Roy Eastlake from Biotal Ltd and Hefin Richards from Profeed Nutrition Consultancy were also shortlisted for the Harper Adams-sponsored award.
